I am writing to invite you to participate in the 12th Annual St. Nicholas Charity Golf Outing, THE DON MARTIN CLASSIC, slated for Friday, May 29, 2009 at Prout's Neck Country Club. Last year’s outing was an absolute success, as we raised over $38,500 for local charities through the golf tournament and the silent and live auction. I am happy to announce that the Project G.R.A.C.E. has been selected as this year’s charity, and will share the proceeds with the St. Nicholas Church. I am also excited to announce that we already have a number of sponsors (links to the right), including the following gold sponsors: Golf and Ski Warehouse, ProSearch, Fairpoint Communications, MacDonald Page, Kelly and Nancy Kading, and the Scarborough Lion's Club.

Participation Options

The purpose of this letter is to solicit your support for this great cause. There are a number of great options to choose from. Certainly, we hope you will dig out the golf clubs and put together a foursome for this event, or sign up individually and we will pair you with others. There are a range of options for involvement, and we want to present each of them for you to review. Below you will find the various sponsorship options,and to the right a list of entities and individuals that have already agreed to provide sponsorships at those levels.

Sponsorship Options

Gold Sponsor ($1200): foursome with carts, opportunity to put items in grab bags, prominent mention in all mailings, logo on front page of the program; Silver Sponsor ($900): foursome with carts, grab bag placement, logo on program, website link; Bronze Sponsor ($700): foursome with carts, grab bag placement, mention in program, website link.

Hole In One Contest

Jolly John has generously agreed to once again sponsor the hole in one contest, with a large prize available at each Par 3, including a loaded 2010 Chrysler Grand Caravan at one hole.

Non-golf Participation

In addition to these great opportunities to participate, there will be a silent and live auction immediately following the golf outing, accompanied by a complimentary beer and wine reception.
